The SoftLite Diffuser is designed for taking photos of a single subject/person (eg model) or group of people with an external flashlight mounted on a camera. The SoftLite Diffuser produces a soft gentle lighting on the subject’s face. There will be no harsh reflections and shadows cast on the subject’s face or background. The SoftLite Diffuser works very well over a wide range of distance from as close 1 meter to as far as 5 meter. It creates a studio-like soft and balanced lighting on your subject.
The SoftLite Diffuser consists of four main components; namely (1) The Reflector, (2) The Reflector Holder, (3) The Diffuser and (4) The Black/White Card. The SoftLite Diffuser can fit into most SLR flashlights regardless of brand and model. It is easy to use, convenient to carry around because it is thin and flat when dismantled and can be slotted easily into most camera bags. It weighs only 83 gms.

How it works
When you are taking photos of a subject at a distance of 2 to 3 meters with the SoftLite Diffuser, the light from the flashlight will be reflected from The Main Reflector, it will then diffuse through the Diffuser until it reaches the subject. Because of the 180 degree shape of the diffuser, it gives you a wide and even lighting over the complete area of focus. When you we are very close to the subject (within 1 meter), the Black Card can be added in front of the Reflector to reduce the light from the Reflector, so that lesser light will fall on the subject’s face. When you are further away (3 to 5 meters.), use the reverse side (white surface) of the Black Card. This is to increase the light from the Reflector so that the subject with will receive adequate light for proper exposure.
Recommended Settings
Set to ISO 400, F5.6 at 1/60 on manual mode for camera and TTL for the flash.
